Introduction to Quilting with Rulers

Have you seen all the cool rulers on the market and wonder what all of the fuss is about? Let Karis be your guide as you learn the basics of quilting with rulers on your domestic machine. This is a great class if you are new to ruler work or need a refresher. You will need to have, at the very least, a straight edge quilting ruler and a circle quilting ruler for class. You will also need to have an appropriate ruler foot for your specific sewing machine. You will receive a 10% class discount on any supplies needed.

Class Hopper eligible class.

Skill Level: intermediate
Skill Details: This is not a class to teach you how to sew or quilt. You must be comfortable with the quilting process. This is designed as an introduction to quilting with rulers - not quilting itself.
Requirements: Required skills: Knowledge of your sewing machine and basic quilting skills. Supplies needed for class:

  • Sewing machine in good working order, foot pedal and power cord
  • HIGHLY recommended: a Sew Steady Table for the best results. If you don't have one - at the very least, you must have the extension table to your sewing machine.

  • Straight edge quilting ruler (I suggest Slim by Angela Walters)
  • Circle Ruler (I suggest ProPebbles by Lisa Calles)
  • Two quilt sandwiches approximately the size of a fat quarter

  • Any supplies purchased for class will receive a 10% discount.
